Driver's License Requirements:

At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid drivers license in the drivers name. Licenses required by issuing province to rent a vehicle are: Manitoba requires Class 5 Full (F), New Brunswick requires Class 7 (level 2 only) and Class 5, Ontario requires Class G & G2 and all other provinces require Class 5. NOTE: Customers presenting a drivers license in a non-roman alphabet must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) in addition to their valid drivers license.

Age Requirements

At this location the minimum age is 21 for all car groups, except for the following: minimum age is 25 for car groups F (Intermediate SUV), G (Premium), H (Luxury), L (Premium SUV), P (Full Size Van), V (Mini Van) and W (Standard SUV). An Under Age fee will apply to drivers between the ages of 21 and 24. The Under Age fee is $34.95 CAD per day.

Directions

FASTBREAK SERVICE Airport Terminal - Counter Location Proceed to the Budget counter Fastbreak line/or normal line if no Fastbreak line designation/or follow directions to the Fastbreak Kiosk. Present identification and receive your rental agreement. The counter representative will give the customer the keys & directions to their car. FASTBREAK RETURN: Follow the airport signs for Car Rental return. You do not need to return to the counter to complete your rental. Record your mileage and fuel level on the rental agreement and drop it in the Budget Fastbreak return box. A closed rental agreement will be mailed to you within 48 hours. *GENERAL DIRECTIONS* Airport Terminal Instructions COUNTER: Located directly across from the departures level in the car rental centre. CARS: Located in designated parking directly behind car rental centre. RETURNS: Same as pick-up. AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Allowed. Park & lock vehicle. Place keys & completed contract in the drop box located at the kiosk.

Towing

Towing is not permitted. Vehicles cannot be used to tow or push anything. A trailer hitch cannot be installed on the vehicles.

Travel Into Other Countries

Travel within Canada to other provinces is allowed with written permission from Budget office only. Check with the rental counter for details. Out of province travel may be subject to $10.00 CAD/day surcharge. Travel to the United States is only available within the state of Washington with written permission from the Budget office. Travel to, or within any other state is strictly prohibited. Customers driving within other states will be charged $0.50 CAD per km, for every km driven, during the entire rental. Check with the rental counter for details, as additional fees and restrictions may apply.

Fuel policy

The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. Most locations offer a prepaid gas option which you can accept at the rental location. If the vehicle is driven less than 125 kilometers there may be an additional refueling fee, unless a gas receipt is presented at time of return. The customer can check at the time of rental for complete details.
